The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced that is has extended the licensure deadline for the Round 2 and national mail-order competitions of the Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies Competition to May 1.
The original deadline required suppliers to have all required state licensures on file with the National Supplier Clearinghouse before submitting a bid. Now, suppliers may submit bids as long as the required state licensure is submitted on or before the new deadline.
Bids will be disqualified if a bidder does not meet all state licensure requirements for the applicable product categories in every state in the bidder’s competitive bidding area. Each supplier is responsible for obtaining all required licenses for each state in which it provides services.
All suppliers must still submit their bids by March 30 despite the extended licensure deadline. For more information about licensure requirements, visit http://www.palmettogba.com/NSC.
