The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. (ABC) has developed a new web tool for O&P professionals working in licensure states.
An interactive licensure map, located on ABC’s homepage, provides detailed information on licensure requirements for the 13 states that currently require an individual to be licensed in order to practice in those states. Information for Mississippi, which requires that orthotists and prosthetists be certified but has no state licensure, is also included.
Each state listing includes information about those who are required to be licensed, eligibility requirements and fees and links to the statute definition, licensure webpage and application.
