The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that it is delaying the prepayment review and prior authorization for the Power Mobility Devices demonstration and the Recovery Audit Prepayment Review demonstration.
The demonstrations were scheduled to begin on Jan. 1, 2012. However, CMS received a significant number of comments and suggestions regarding the demonstrations and is carefully considering them. CMS will provide at least 30 days notice before the demonstrations begin.
The Part A to Part B Rebilling Demonstration remains on schedule and will begin on Jan. 1.
