The Board of Certification/Accreditation, International (BOC) elected its 2012 executive committee and selected two new members for the board of directors effective January 1, 2012.
John Kenney, BOCO, was named chairman. Kenney, the vice president of Ongoing Care Solutions, Inc., has been a board member since 2007 and previously served as secretary, treasurer and vice chair.

Other new appointments include Jim Hewlett, BOCO, vice chair; Jeff Hedges, secretary; Bill Powers, treasurer; and Jim Newberry, re-elected member-at-large. Sharon Nichelson, who served as chairwoman of the BOC Board for two terms, will remain on the executive committee as immediate past chairwoman.
The board also elected two new members, Ronnie Bias, BOCPO, CPO, CPed and Scott Lane. Bias owns two O&P facilities in Louisiana. Lane, who will serve as public member, lost his left leg in a motorcycle accident and is an active member of the amputee community.
The BOC executive committee will serve a 1-year term beginning in January.
