The Board of Certification/Accreditation, International (BOC) has published a new Accreditation Survival Guide to help facilities through the process of becoming accredited or reaccredited. The guide contains essential tools that potential and current DMEPOS facilities can use as they obtain and maintain accreditation, four video guides and a user-friendly BOC Accreditation Standards Guide.
“Accreditation is a promise of quality care to patients,” Wendy Miller, BOCO, BOC director of Facility Accreditation, stated in a press release. “We are delighted to offer our customers even more ways to make the accreditation process as easy as possible.”
The video guides address frequently asked questions at different stages of the accreditation process, including the importance and process of accreditation and reaccreditation, and preparing for the site survey.
The new BOC Accreditation Standards Guide, which encompasses the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality and Facility Standards, is an easy-to-use document that explains the requirements for a facility to be in compliance with CMS and BOC standards. It is a clickable and user-friendly document that can be viewed online or printed for facilities to have on hand.
