In its continuation of expanding product support resources for
clinicians, WillowWood has hired Wayne Fichtel, CP, as its national
account manager.
For the past 2 years, WillowWood has successfully conducted a product
education program at clinical facilities throughout the United States. The
company’s product specialists interact directly with clinicians through
personal visits, product demonstrations, educational presentations at state and
national conferences and teaching at WillowWood’s education center. The
positive customer response to this program has prompted the company to create
an additional clinical account position.
Fichtel will visit patient care facilities nationwide and educate
personnel on the latest WillowWood traditional products and fabrication
techniques. In addition to facility visits, Fichtel will also conduct
educational workshops and webinars focusing on elevated vacuum suspension, as
well as provide clinical and technical support for clinicians.
In the orthotic and prosthetic industry since 1988, Fichtel completed
his prosthetic education at Northwestern University and completed a clinical
residency at The Cleveland Clinic. After several years in the private practice
setting, he entered the manufacturer realm in 2004. Fichtel initially
represented WillowWood in the southeast and then nationwide supporting the
company’s OMEGA Tracer CAD efforts. Fichtel returned to full-time patient
care in 2009.
