The 2011Dale Yasukawa Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to Adam McFarlane, a member of the Northwestern University Blended Learning Program Class of 2011 and an orthotic resident with Clark & Associates of Waterloo, Iowa. The scholarship, which is maintained and awarded by OPAF & The First Clinics, was increased this year to $1000 with the intent that the winner will use the funds to either attend their local American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists meeting or a national meeting within O&P to increase his or her knowledge within the field or assist with schooling expenses.
“I am pleased and honored to accept this award from OPAF in memory of Dale Yasukawa. Your work with individuals within the orthotic and prosthetic community is exemplary. I look forward to a long and rewarding journey in the field of orthotics and prosthetics, and in the short term, to the opportunities this award will present,” McFarlane stated in a press release.
This scholarship program is currently open to all full-time certificate candidates enrolled in Northwestern University’s Prosthetic Orthotic Center.
