Disabled Sports USA (DSUSA) has officially launched its new logo,
according to a press release.
The new logo is simple and contemporary in design with an icon
illustrating movement and action, which is reflective of the DSUSA programs and
participants, the release stated.
“The new logo reinforces DSUSA’s commitment to providing
opportunities for an active and healthy lifestyle for people with disabilities,
through participation in sports and recreational activities,” Bob
Meserve, president of DSUSA and an active wheelchair user, adaptive sport
participant and athlete, stated in the release.
The previous logo was created in the mid-’90s and has served the
organization for more than a decade. During that period, DSUSA has expanded its
programs and services to more than 100 community-based chapters operating in 37
states. More than 60,000 youths and adults participate in sports, recreation
and educational programs annually.
“Helping people with disabilities achieve an active and healthy
lifestyle rebuilds fitness and self-confidence and provides the basis for
success in life.” Meserve stated. “It is in fact realizing our motto,
‘If I can do this, I can do anything.”
