The Amputee Coalition has been selected to receive a $1,500 grant from the Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation. This support will help send 100 youths to the camp this July. The youth camp is a 5-day traditional summer camp experience for children ages 10 to 17 years old who have lost an arm or leg or were born with limb differences.
“We are grateful to the Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation for their generous contribution and genuine interest in our youth camp. With a focus on children’s health and wellness, the Amputee Coalition is proud to partner with Build-A-Bear,” Kendra Calhoun, president and chief executive officer of the Amputee Coalition, stated in a press release.
