The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics Inc. (ABC) announced its contribution to the Amputee Coalition’s Bridge to Ability Fund in memory of Todd F. Anderson, CP, FAAOP. The $10,000 contribution serves to honor Anderson’s compassion and involvement in serving the amputee population. According to a press release, the board felt that this was a fitting tribute to his memory and would help continue the good works that were the hallmark of Anderson’s contributions to the profession and the public.
The Bridge to Ability Fund provides scholarships to new amputees to attend the Amputee Coalition National Conference. The scholarships include full conference registration as well as lodging expenses. This offers these individuals an opportunity to have this experience regardless of their financial situation.
According to the release, ABC is proud to be a major sponsor of this important fund and looks forward to learning about the impact this experience has on the recipients.
