The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics Inc. (ABC) is conducting a Practice Analysis Survey of the Mastectomy Fitter. The survey results will help: define the certification, education and training of future fitters; develop valid and reliable examinations; and convey to others outside O&P disciplines the scope of services provided by certified mastectomy fitters, according to a press release.
The survey will be emailed in mid-July. ABC encourages all of its certified mastectomy fitters to participate in the survey. If ABC does not have your current email address, please send it as soon as possible to info@abcop.org.
Certified mastectomy fitters are in a unique position to provide vital information about the practice of and contribute to the future of the profession by completing and returning the survey, according to the release.
