Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics Inc. has hired Patrick Logan, CPO, as one of its managing practitioners of the Exton, Pa. patient care office. Logan has joined Taffy Bowman, CPO, to meet increased demand in the Philadelphia market.
Logan is a graduate of Florida International University and brings 20 years of clinical expertise to Ability. Prior to joining Ability, he was employed as the clinical coordinator for the National Orthotics & Prosthetics Company (NOPCO) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Before NOPCO, he was a branch manager for Hanger in Havertown, as well as the director of the prosthetics and orthotics division at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a clinical instructor on the university’s faculty.
“Patrick understands and possesses the skills necessary to provide exceptional patient outcomes in an Ability office,” Jeffrey Brandt, CPO, chief operating officer of Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics Inc., stated in a press release.
Ability has also hired Erin Meyers, board eligible prosthetist, resident orthotist, who will be fulfilling the requirements of her NCOPE residency in Ability’s Frederick, Md. patient care office with John Jacobs, CPO. Meyers is a graduate of California State University.
“Erin has a great foundation upon which to build a very successful career in O&P. She already has extensive patient care as well as outsourcing knowledge,” Clint McKinley, chief executive officer of Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics Inc., stated.
Ability also announced that Spencer Wolinsky, COA, recently received his certified orthotics assistant designation from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics. Wolinsky began his career as a prosthetic and orthotic technician at the former Charlotte Orthotic & Prosthetic Center in Charlotte, N.C. – now owned by Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics Inc. He is currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with a goal of becoming a prosthetist-orthotist.
