The Step Forward Tour, a concert at Chicago’s Park West Theater, will take place on May 13, 2011. Proceeds will benefit Friends of the Orphans for St. Damien Hospital in Haiti, providing medical care and rehabilitation to amputee victims of the country’s earthquake. Friends of the Orphans is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization that supports the work of Our Little Brothers and Sisters Orphanage in nine Latin American and Caribbean countries and transforms the lives of orphaned, abandoned and disadvantaged children.
“I am thrilled and honored to be a part of this year’s Step Forward Concert benefiting Friends of the Orphans and drawing attention to such an important and worthy cause,” Steve Augeri, Journey lead singer from 1998 to 2006, stated in a press release. “I hope to see many music fans there for a very special night.”
