Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics announced that Amy Schaumburg and Thomas Bourgeois were promoted to regional sales manager. In their new roles, they will take on responsibility for expanded business development teams at Hanger; Schaumburg will cover Missouri, Wisconsin and Illinois, and Bourgeois will cover Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado.
They both will be responsible for tasks such as planning the company’s sales strategies, developing the skills of the sales team, implementing growth initiatives, and consulting and collaborating with upper management.
“It gives me great pleasure to promote Amy and Thomas to this new role,” Diana Faulkner, Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics regional vice president of sales, stated in a press release. “They continually meet and exceed expectations, and I am confident they will do the same in their new role as regional sales manager.”
In their previous roles as senior business development manager, which they both have held for the past 3 years, they supported the Hanger sales team, growing their own territories while assisting in the development and training of other business development managers, as well as working on special projects.
Schaumburg began her career in O&P in 1994. Schaumburg has twice captured the title of Hanger’s “Business Development Manager of the Year,” first in 2005, and again in 2007.
Bourgeois, a three-time Paralympian and transtibial amputee, started as a Hanger patient and patient advocate. He later joined the Hanger sales team after retiring from athletics in 2002. Bourgeois also serves as a regional Amputee Empowerment Partners coordinator, providing peer-to-peer support visits with people who are about to face an amputation or have recently undergone an amputation.
