Scott Spring |
Advanced Arm Dynamics (AAD), a provider of upper extremity prosthetic rehabilitation services, announced the addition of Scott Spring, CP, to their upper extremity clinical team at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
“In 2003, AAD was selected to be the sole provider of upper extremity prosthetic care for wounded soldiers returning to Walter Reed,” John Miguelez, CP, president and senior clinical director, stated in a press release. “Adding Mr. Spring to our team helps to further ensure the highest level of care for our servicemen and women who have experienced upper limb loss.”
Spring began working with AAD Feb. 21, 2011. He spent the last 2 and half years as the director of prosthetics at Dynamic Orthotics and Prosthetics in Houston. Prior to that, he was senior prosthetist at Muilenburg Prosthetics in Houston for 5 years. He also worked at Central Texas Orthotics and Prosthetics for 6 years as senior prosthetist/orthotist.
Spring received a bachelor’s degree in prosthetics and orthotics from the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, and a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Texas A&M University in College Station. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists.
“Upper extremity loss can be extremely debilitating,” Spring stated. “I have seen patients’ lives enhanced by specialized upper limb care, and I want to be part of the AAD clinical team because of their clear commitment to providing the best outcomes for patients.”
