“Minneapolis was selected as the location for our new center for two reasons,” John Miguelez, AAD president and senior clinical director, stated in a press release. “The first is Pat Prigge – an exceptional upper extremity prosthetist who provides the highest level of patient care. The second reason is to give patients in the North Central region of the country better access to comprehensive upper extremity prosthetic rehabilitation.”
Prigge joined AAD in 2008 as the clinical manager of the Midwest Center of Excellence in Waterloo, Iowa. Prior to that, he was the director of prosthetics education for Otto Bock HealthCare in Minneapolis, leading efforts to educate practitioners and patients on the use of advanced prosthetic technologies. Previously, he worked as a clinical prosthetist with Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics and at Gillette Children’s Hospital.

Peterson joined AAD in 2010. Prior to that, she was a staff physical therapist at Fairview-University Medical Center in Minneapolis for 17 years. She has extensive experience in wound care, inpatient rehabilitation and clinical education.
“The Minneapolis center is focused completely on the patient’s needs and helping them feel at home for however long they are here,” Prigge stated. “Our goal is to truly listen to people, and then educate them about new technologies and opportunities. We want to hear patients say ‘Wow, this prosthesis is going to change my life.’”
