Michael Teter, CPO, chief executive officer of Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics Inc. of Traverse City, Mich., died on Jan. 6 at the age of 49 years.
“Everyone at Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics, and those who knew Mike will miss him dearly. Mike had numerous friends and had always been an active part of the many communities Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics serves in Northern and Central Michigan,” Todd Stone, current chief executive officer of Teter O&P, stated in a press release. “Mike was a friend, coworker and golf buddy to a great number of people.” He was also the glue that brought together and held together a great number of friends. The numerous golf trips that Mike sponsored were legendary, not to mention many memorable golf games. Mike loved his family, coworkers and many friends. Life will not be the same without him. He brought joy and laughter to the world.”
Teter was American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics Inc. certified in orthotics and prosthetics and served as a board member for the Michigan Orthotic and Prosthetic Association.
Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics, Inc. has 20 locations, which Stone assures, will continue providing a great service to the communities they serve in Northern and Central Michigan.
“The (more than) 50 employees of Teter Orthotics & Prosthetics will pull together and continue Mike’s legacy as this was his wish,” Todd stated. “We are a family of the best people I know, and this family will continue to grow in strength as Mike would have liked.”
