AMP1, a team of amputee basketball players will kick off a tour of the Dallas-Fort Worth area with an exhibition during the halftime show at the Dallas Mavericks/Oklahoma City Thunder game on Jan. 6, 2011 at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas.
The exhibition is part of a 4-day tour of the Dallas-Fort Worth area where AMP1 players, including co-founder Scott Odom, will speak to local schools and play a charity game against able-bodied players benefitting the P.L.A.Y. Foundation, a financial resource for amputees who want to excel in the arts, education or sports.
Freedom Innovations, which sponsors the team, supports the AMP1 mission to inspire, motivate, educate and provide hope to adults and children facing their own challenges.
