Eduardo Oyola-Rivera, of Brandon, Fla., has been elected national vice president of Paralyzed Veterans of America.
“I am delighted to serve all the members of Paralyzed Veterans of America,” Oyola-Rivera stated in a press release. “I look forward to working hard to fully empower all those who’ve served and sacrificed for our freedoms.”
A U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, Oyola-Rivera joined the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans in 1997 and served in a variety of roles: board member, vice president, president and then national director. Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, Oyola-Rivera served in the Army from 1969 until 1971 and then again from 1975 to 1998.
