Every 2 years, the ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK is held in Leipzig, Germany as a globally leading event in the trade. The members of the exhibitors advisory board of ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK have decided upon a new duration for the Trade Show and the Congress. The International Trade Show in 2012 will take 3 days from May 16 to May 18. The 4-day World Congress will now start 1 day before the International Trade Show, on Tuesday, May 15, 2012.
“Time is money and according to this slogan, we will optimize costs and expenditures for exhibitors and visitors of ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK,” Frank Jüttner, president of the German Association of Orthopaedic Technology, stated in a press release. “We will present the new concept for the Audience Day and Paralympic Day in spring 2011.”
Since the year 2000, Leipzig Trade Fair has been the host of the global trade show ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK, which focuses on orthopaedics technology, orthopaedic footwear, rehabilitation technology, medical and health care supplies shops and workshops and stores equipment.
“In the last 10 years, the event has displayed a very positive development,” Jüttner stated. “The number of visitors has doubled and the number of exhibitors has increased by 60%.”
ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK 2010 was the most successful one in the history of the 37-year-long history of the event. This May, 21,200 visitors from 108 countries and 554 exhibitors from 45 countries met in Leipzig, Germany. Comparatively, in the year 2000, about 10,000 visitors from 30 countries and 318 exhibitors from 24 countries visited the Trade Show.
