Hanger clinical care manager Dan Blasini, RN, BSN, BC-CM from San Antonio, Texas was selected as a finalist in the Life Care Planner category for the first annual Dorland Health People Awards. The Dorland Health People Awards recognizes health care professionals who share their knowledge and skills to address challenges and meet the needs of their team, their patients and patients’ families. Blasini was recognized for the use of his clinical expertise to determine lifetime needs of those who are faced with catastrophic/chronic conditions.
Following his service in the Army, Blasini sought a position to help the injured soldiers coming back from war. As a clinical care manager for the national upper extremity prosthetics program at Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics, Blasini specializes in the rehabilitation of difficult cases of upper limb loss caused by occupational injuries, including veterans injured in war, motor vehicle accidents and medically compromised patients.
Blasini was recognized at an awards luncheon on October 4 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
