The U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) announced that 10 new Paralympic swimmers have been added to the Paralympic Swimming Resident Program, expanding the team to 16 athletes, all of whom will live and train at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
“This is a big investment in the future of our team and its performance at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, England,” Charlie Huebner, chief of Paralympics, USOC, stated in a press release. “By providing consistent coaching, sports medicine and nutritional support, we hope to enhance athlete performance both domestically and internationally.”
All 16 athletes will be coached by retired U.S. Paralympian and coaching fellow Dave Denniston.
