Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center in Warwick, N.Y., along with OPAF and The First Clinics will host a McKeever’s First Ride on Sept. 12. McKeever’s First Ride offers therapeutic horsemanship to anyone with a physical challenge to discover the many benefits of a horse. The program is sponsored by Touch Bionics, Orthotic Prosthetic Associates and Engineered Silicone Products, LLC.
McKeever’s First Ride will feature amputee riding demonstrations, grooming and groundwork, arts, crafts, music, refreshments, rides and more. The afternoon activities will be led by the staff and therapists of Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center, a North American Handicapped Riders Association-accredited facility.
