Ability Prosthetics and Orthotics, based in Gettysburg, Pa. and its founder, Jeff Brandt, CPO and chief executive officer recently contributed to the ongoing Dale Yasukawa Memorial Scholarship Fund, maintained by OPAF and The First Clinics. This scholarship was established in 2001 to honor Dale Yasukawa, CP, who had served as director of prosthetics for the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC). Brandt worked with Yasukawa at RIC and wished to donate to the scholarship fund and pledged to fund the OPAF scholarship each year.
“I was the fortunate recipient of the Gunther Gehl-Northwestern Scholarship when I attended Northwestern University Prosthetic & Orthotic Center, so I understand the importance of the Dale Yasukawa Scholarship Fund. Dale was very near and dear to my heart and the money is always needed,” Brandt stated in a press release.
