The Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) has announced the appointment of Jamey French, a fundraising and development professional, to the position of development director.
“Jamey is a great fit for our organization. He has a strong background in development and has a proven track record in relationship building,” Kendra Calhoun, president and chief executive officer of the ACA, stated in a press release. “But it was his passion for the ACA’s mission that convinced me that Jamey is the right person for this important role.”

French holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration and organizational leadership from Urbana University in Urbana, Ohio.
French is not a stranger to the ACA. His wife, Molly, is a bilateral amputee and they are both ACA-certified peer visitors. Molly is the founder of Amputees in Motion, the first support group in the Greenville area.

Over the past year, French has served on the ACA’s Brand Work Group Committee. His expertise in branding and public relations will continue to benefit this effort, but now from an internal staff position, according to Calhoun.
“I am excited and honored to have the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated team, whose sole mission is to empower and make a difference in the lives of those affected by limb loss and limb difference,” French stated.
