Orthocare Innovations has been selected by R&D Magazine to receive its R&D 100 Award. Orthocare Innovations received this award for its Galileo system, a novel approach for measuring, analyzing and reporting the function of persons who have experienced lower limb loss, injury or disease.
“Prosthetics technology has become more advanced, offering persons who have lost limbs the opportunity to return to highly active and productive lives,” Doug McCormack, Orthocare Innovations chief executive officer stated in a press release. “Payers, however, are increasingly requiring better documentation and objective activity data prior to approving advanced technology devices. Galileo is consistent with the demand for evidence-based practice and will both support clinician decision making and ensure that patients receive appropriate care.”
