Despite economic concerns and weather disruptions, PrimeFare East 2010
Symposium attendee and exhibitor numbers stayed consistent with the 2009
meeting figures, which was a record-breaker for the event.
“We really appreciated everyone that both supported the meeting as
well as the city of Nashville by their presence there. Many organizations got
“spooked” by the news media coverage of the flooding and moved their
events to other cities, which really hurt the city’s revenues,” Kevin
Pruitt, recruiting director of the network, stated in a press release.
This year the Symposium featured two key note speakers: Bonnie Williams,
CIC, RN, and director of infection control for St. Jude Children’s
Research Hospital, and Kathy Dodson, senior director of government affairs for
the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association.
“Once again, we had representation from a number of states both in
the South and beyond, including states as far away as New York, Wisconsin,
Virginia and Texas,” Jane Edwards, partner and vice president of
operations, stated in the release.
