Orthocare Innovations announced the addition of David Adams as general
manager of its Oklahoma City facility. Adams joins Orthocare from Trulife where
he served as vice president.
Adams brings more than 14 years of experience in the O&P and
orthopedic sectors, including leadership roles in manufacturing, regulatory
compliance, customer support and business development. In addition to his
position at Trulife, he has served as executive vice president for CAMP
Healthcare, and vice president, business development of foot orthotics for
Bauerfeind, Germany.
While at Seattle Systems, a predecessor company to Trulife, Adams was
involved in all aspects of management as a corporate officer and steering
committee member. In this capacity, Adams served as a key leader in
transitioning the company through three major acquisitions, including its sale
to Hanger Orthopedic Group.
“I am proud to join Orthocare Innovations,” Adams said in a
news release. “Its people, creative ideas, and business partners will
dramatically improve patient quality of life through innovative medical
devices.”
“Dave Adams is an experienced leader in the O&P field, and we
are thrilled that he will be managing our Oklahoma City facility on a
day-to-day basis,” Doug McCormack Orthocare chief executive officer, said
in a news release. “Dave’s tremendous background in leading large
production operations will be extremely valuable as Orthocare continues to grow
and launch its new and innovative products.”
Adams also brings more than 12 years of experience working in the Naval
Nuclear Power Program. Through his service on nuclear powered submarines, he
developed a systematic approach to operations. The engineering background he
brings to Orthocare will also support product development.
Adams currently serves as a board member of the Orthotics and
Prosthetics Education and Research Foundation.
