The Spine Technology Awards will recognize the best spine products, engineering teams and inventors for 2010, according to a news release.
Awards will be presented in eight categories: device technologies for cervical care; lumbar care; motion preservation of the spine; minimally invasive care; biomaterials; diagnostics and imaging, pain management; and regenerative technologies.
Any company that produces products for use in spine surgery may enter in one or more of the eight categories. Judging will be based on originality, clinical relevance, and the likelihood that the technology will improve current standards of care. A panel of surgeons will judge the competition. The deadline for submission of entries is July 7.
