United Spinal Association presents the 2010 Independence Expo – Long Island, the region’s premier lifestyle-enhancing Expo designed to promote active living and independence for all people with disabilities and aging Americans.
The Independence Expo–Long Island will be held on Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26 at the Suffolk County Community College Sports & Exhibition Complex in Brentwood, NY and is free and open to the public.
Contemporary disability-related workshops and demonstrations, designed to educate and liberate will be conducted throughout the 2-day event. Topics include employment, accessibility and the workplace; accessible travel and transportation; research and technology; veterans issues and benefits; fitness, exercise and nutrition; and consumer self-advocacy.
