These videos are released in conjunction with a guest editorial by Linda Resnik, PhD, a research scientist at the Providence VA Medical Center, describing the status of a 3-year optimization study of the DEKA Arm published in the Journal of Rehabilitation Research and Development.
The videos show study participants completing activities previously difficult or unmanageable with a prosthetic arm, such as tying a trash bag and reaching overhead and grasping an object.
