John Spragle, president of VGM Insurance, announced his retirement from the company effective July 1. Tom Jones will take over as president.
“As I pass the baton to Tom, I feel confident in his abilities,” Spragle said in a press release. “He has served as president of a mutual insurance company and has owned and operated an independent agency for many years.”
Jones is familiar with the durable medical equipment industry, and earned his chartered property casualty underwriter designation, among others, while becoming experienced in the areas of insurance company management, sales and claims adjusting.
According to the company, Spragle has helped build VGM Insurance into a leader in formulating and delivering insurance products for the past 20 years. During this time, he exemplified great leadership and administrative skills that became the foundation for growth and evolution within the company that his successors will continue to build on.
