Orthocare Innovations announced the addition of Toshiki
Kobayashi, PhD as research scientist. Kobayashi will be resident in
Orthocare’s Seattle research facility.
Kobayashi received his PhD from the Department of Health
Technology and Informatics at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also
a trained orthotics and prosthetics clinician who grew up in a third generation
private P&O practice. While at Hong Kong Polytechnic, Kobayashi’s
research was focused on improving mobility through better lower limb orthosis
design.
“Dr. Toshiki Kobayashi has experience and skills
that mesh perfectly with the direction of Orthocare Innovations,” David
Boone, CP, MPH, PhD and Orthocare’s chief technology officer, said in a
news release. “Dr. Kobayashi’s unique expertise is helping to create
revolutionary orthotic applications for our Compas and Galileo product
platforms, as well as other next generation orthotic technologies.”
