Knit-Rite announced the retirement of Eula Deperalta, processing supervisor, and promotion of Maria Serrano to production supervisor.
After 41 years of service at Knit-Rite, Deperalta will retire in May. Deperalta began her career at Knit-Rite in 1969 as a knitter. She then moved into packaging inspection and eventually her supervisory roles where her responsibilities ranged from wash supervision to assisting customers with concerns to helping fit patients.
“We appreciate Eula’s many contributions during her years of service at Knit-Rite. We wish her all the best in her retirement,” Mark Smith, chief executive officer and president, said in a press release.
Serrano has been with Knit-Rite for 7 years, starting her career as a sewing machine operator. She was later promoted to sewing supervisor. With her current promotion to production supervisor, her role will be expanded and she will assume the responsibilities currently held by Deperalta.

“Maria has continually showed her ability to handle any task or responsibility given to her. We know she will continue to provide the great service to our customers that Eula has provided for past 41 years,” Chris Vering, executive vice president and chief operating officer, said.
