OPAF will once again be hosting several events in conjunction with the AOPA National Assembly in Chicago. On Wednesday, September 10, OPAF will host the Thranhardt Golf Classic at Traditions of Chevy Chase Golf Club in Wheeling, Illinois. For $175/round or $650/foursome, players will enjoy a day of golf with friends and industry colleagues, bus transportation, lunch and prizes.
During the AOPA National Assembly, OPAF will be hosting two events at the OPAF booth, #600. The New Foot Technology Showcase will offer the one location in the exhibit hall where practitioners can do side-by-side, hands-on comparison of the latest in prosthetic foot technology on the market today. Manufacturers participating in the New Foot Technology Showcase include Ohio Willow Wood, Otto Bock Healthcare, Kingsley Manufacturing, Bioquest Prosthetics and College Park Industries. Many of these manufacturers are also donating one of their feet to the OPAF silent auction to go to the highest bidder.
Some items up for auction include an Amputee Coalition of America facility membership for one year, an autographed Indy Car Wing from Helio Castroneves, Chicago museum passes, NASCAR items, gift cards, ABC shirts and a donated 2009 AOPA National Assembly registration package, including hotel in Seattle.
