Freedom Innovations Appoints Lee Kim Chief Financial Officer

Maynard Carkhuff, president and chief executive officer of Freedom Innovations LLC, announced that Lee Kim was named chief financial officer for the company. Kim comes to Freedom with experience in mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing, and operational restructuring. He will assist in the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan and will direct all finance, accounting, and information technology activities for the company.
Kim’s hiring coincides with Freedom Innovations’ strategic recapitalization, a move aimed to increase the company’s financial flexibility and position it for accelerated growth.

Lee’s career accomplishments and experience in the financial aspects of high tech, global companies will be of great benefit to Freedom Innovations.”
Kim most recently served as chief financial officer of Netlist Inc., a manufacturer of customized, high-end memory solutions for the server and communications markets. He led Netlist’s initial public offering in November 2006. Kim has served as a financial leadership partner for Tatum LLC, a national professional services firm, where he served several clients as chief financial officer on both a permanent and interim basis. Prior to Tatum, Kim was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Epicor Software Corporation, a publicly traded developer of enterprise resource planning software for midmarket companies.
Kim holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a certified public accountant.
Danforth and Taylor Join Norpro Prosthetics and Orthotics

Officials from Norpro Prosthetics and Orthotics Inc. announced the addition of two new practitioners to their staff. Michael Danforth, Jr., CPO and Doug Taylor, CP, are based in Norpro’s Stuart, Fla. location. Along with patient care, Danforth and Taylor will be involved in Norpro’s expansion plans throughout Florida’s central and eastern regions.
Danforth, a second generation practitioner, entered the field in 1984. His early years were spent working for his family’s business in the Orlando area. Danforth spent considerable time in the technical aspects of prosthetics and orthotics and is Florida licensed.
Taylor recently moved to Florida from Indianapolis. He has been in the O&P profession since 1978 and received his certification in 1984. Taylor was previously a clinical assistant professor in the department of biological materials at Northwestern University.
Hanger Welcomes New Hires, Announces Promotions

Anthony Dargan, CPO was promoted to area practice manager of the Reston, Va. and Alexandria, Va. patient care centers. Dargan spent the past 4 years at Hanger’s Reston, Va. facility. Dargan graduated from the Northwestern University Orthotic and Prosthetic certificate program.
Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics also welcomed James Druwe, CPO to its Tucson, Ariz. team. A graduate of the Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center, Druwe earned his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the Northern Illinois University.
Jean Hobkirk, CP joined Hanger’s Yuma, Ariz. patient care center. A graduate of the Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center, Hobkirk earned her bachelor’s degree in sports medicine-athletic training from Eastern Michigan University.
Tendal Wilson, CPO, CPed. was named the new practice manager of Hanger’s Tesson Ferry Road in St. Louis patient care center. Wilson brings 11 years of patient care experience, most recently with the Department of Veteran Affairs in St. Louis. Wilson attended Oklahoma State University and Louisiana State University.
