Officials from Florida Brace Corporation recently announced that Michael Burton joined the company as director of sales and marketing. Burton has been actively involved in orthotic and prosthetic distribution and manufacturing for more than 27 years.
“We are delighted to have Michael join our company and are confident his vast experience in O&P will be instrumental in helping our company achieve new milestones. Michael has known my father Ben Moss for more than 25 years and has always been a close friend and trusted business associate. We are pleased to have a man with his character and integrity join our family-owned business,” said Anne Anderson, Florida Brace general manager, in a press release.
Burton has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an extensive record of volunteer service. He is currently serving his second term as president of the Orthotic and Prosthetic Assistance Fund Inc. He is a member of the Industry Advisory Council for O&P Business News and a past member of the board of directors for the Midwest Chapter of the Academy. Burton was also chairman of the H.O.P.E. committee for the former Hanger Southeast companies that gave financial assistance to Paralympic athletes and their families. Additionally, he is a member of the World Rehab Foundation’s O&P History Project committee and is a member of the Endocrine Today Industry Advisory Council. Burton was previously recognized by A.B.C. for his volunteer service at CPM exams and was formerly listed in the Who’s Who of American Business Leaders.
Burton will be working from his home office and will have the opportunity to meet practitioners and distributors at the many meetings he will be attending for Florida Brace.
“I have followed Michael’s career for some time and am pleased that he has accepted the position as director of sales and marketing. I am confident that he will play an integral part in the continued success of Florida Brace,” said Moss, company owner and former AOPA president.
